Markets pretty much vary in location and size, but all offer similar merchandise including well priced clothing, shoes, local fresh fruit and vegetable produce, and a good variety of local arts and crafts. Half the fun is to haggle over the price, so don´t be shy it´s expected.

If you are not sure where the market is don´t be afraid to ask the locals or as a last resort you could always take a taxi.

Surprisingly (or not) there are several successful English language radio stations operating on the Costa del Sol . All are operating on FM so the coverage can be a bit limited as a result of the rugged terrain.

The Astra Satellite gives you free viewing access to Channel 5, Sky News, CNN, CNBC, MTV Europe, Eurosport, QVC and the Travel Shop . Free to air with a viewing card (Free of Charge) you can receive BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, ITV1 and ITV2 . Some of these channels should be available in rental apartments and hotels.

Spanish digital service via satellite and terrestrial are coming on in leaps and bounds and it is possible to get subtitles or change the language with this service.
